Terms of Use

The rules of the road for swim-champs.com.

Heads up: These terms are based on common defaults for masters swim clubs. Swim Champs has not yet had these reviewed by counsel. Use of this site implies your acceptance, but the board retains the right to update terms with notice. Last reviewed: April 2026.

Account use

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Don't share your password. Notify the board if you suspect your account has been compromised.

Member responsibilities

Members are expected to follow USMS sportsmanship standards and the club's bylaws when participating in practices, meets, and other club activities.

User-generated content

When you upload photos, write a bio, or post comments, you retain ownership of that content. By posting, you grant Swim Champs a non-exclusive license to display and distribute it through the site, the member directory, social channels, and club communications. You can request removal at any time by contacting the board.

Acceptable use

  • No harassment, hateful conduct, or discriminatory behavior.
  • No impersonation of other members or third parties.
  • No use of the site to transmit malware, spam, or unauthorized solicitation.
  • No scraping or automated bulk access.

Termination

The board may suspend or terminate accounts with cause, including violation of these terms or club bylaws. We will provide notice and an opportunity to respond except in cases of egregious harm.

Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Pool schedules, facility hours, and event details are best-effort and subject to change without notice. Always confirm with the venue before traveling.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Swim Champs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
